El ser humano es un ser sencillo, y el hombre, más aún; incluso básico. No se nos pide mucho en esta vida, apenas tres cosas, plantar un árbol, escribir un libro y tener un hijo.
Lo de los árboles lo tengo cubierto de sobra, ser hijo de un agricultor ayuda. A mi cuñado y a mí nos tocó encenagarnos de barro hasta las rodillas para plantar las olivas; unos años antes nos había tocado otro tanto en el pedrizal de las nogueras. Ahora tenemos para repartir unos 300 árboles plantados, así que cubrimos de sobra la cuota del arbolito en cuestión.
Además tengo las palmeras, pinos, olivos, encinas y limoneros de la corrala, que parece más un jardín botánico que patio de vecinos. Mi casa es el auténtico pulmón verde de Madrid, la mayor concentración por metro cuadrado de árboles de toda la península (por metro cuadrado porque no ocupa mucho más). Y de propina un bonsái coronando la televisión.
Lo del libro es algo más complicado. Los que nacimos negados para la escritura tenemos que hacer enormes esfuerzos para unir palabras, y eso no quiere decir que el resultado sea no ya bueno, sino básicamente aceptable.
Hace unos meses me propusieron publicar una de las entradas de mi blog en una recopilación. Gracias a Jon Meirin y a la editorial Malhivern el libro A blog pongo por testigo es una realidad de 66 historias más o menos extensas entre las que se encuentra una de las mías.
He visto algunos blogs de gente con la que se pusieron en contacto y que despreciaron el proyecto porque opinaban que era una tomadura de pelo y un atraco a mano armada (armada de teclado y ratón). El libro está ahí y sólo puedo decirles una cosa: una de mis historias está publicada y las suyas, más o menos acertadas, están en el limbo cibernético. No digo que no tengan clase para publicar, sólo recalco que si buscan el ISBN: 978-84-9352535-9 no encontrarán ninguna de sus entradas. Oportunidad perdida.
Cierto es que una página no es un libro, por eso utilizaré el comodín de mis árboles extra para completar la obligación del libro. ¿Cuela?
Lo del hijo es más complicado. Después de tres hermanas, mis padres rompieron el molde conmigo; estos días nos hemos dado cuenta de que con mi edad mi madre ya tenía 4 hijos. Eran otros tiempos.
Por mi parte tengo suficiente con mis sobrinos pateándome el hígado y no aspiro a nada más. No tengo instinto de perpetuación de la especie y tampoco creo que fuese bueno tener un padre con edad mental menor que la del hijo, podría llegar a avergonzarse en la escuela primaria.
Esta condición creo que no la cumplo ni con un millón de árboles. Intentaré que salga alguna criatura de mi casa, ¿qué sé yo?, apareando a los gatos, por ejemplo; aunque ahora que lo pienso va a ser complicado, sobre todo porque son de peluche.
En fin, que os recomiendo encarecidamente el libro. Se lee bien y es una muestra significativa de a qué se dedica la gente en este país llamado Tierra.
